For this little girl’s nursery, Mom and Dad wanted a contemporary feminine retreat for their newest addition. The graphic black and white floral wallpaper struck just the right balance of femininity and edginess. We then mixed in a speckled black and white rug and used an oversized buffalo check print for a custom ottoman and throw pillows. Also custom, a fuchsia velvet daybed with a pop-up trundle, giving Sage a cozy place to read or an additional place for visitors to sleep. A lacquered crib, coordinating dresser and mirror play up the glamour, while black wall sconces and wire toy bin bring an industrial edge. Details such as the pom-pom trim on the throw pillows, hot pink art framing, custom book ledges, and a soft pink painted ceiling help to make the room truly unique.
