When we were enlisted to update this growing girl’s room, we were thrilled! This family decided to move from the city to the suburbs and wanted to reuse much the furniture from their nursery we previously designed. For a more mature look, we started with a dramatic grasscloth chinoiserie wallpaper. The bright blues and pink florals really give the room a feminine feel while adding a sophistication that will carry Sage Ellys through her teen years. We replaced the crib with a desk, added a bookcase for storage and display, and updated the artwork and pillows to incorporate more blue tones. We also reupholstered the ottoman in a fun green dot fabric and the desk chair in a vibrant blue zig zag. The perfect room for a stylish youngster!
